St. Patrick's day is just around the corner and with it being during the week, I wanted to make a little snack board to celebrate! To be honest, I have not really celebrated this holiday much in the past, but this year I made some pom pom garlands to hang up in the house and it got me a little in the spirit! Plus - if there's ever a good reason to make a snack or dessert board, I'm here for it!
I didn't put too much thought into the items I wanted to purchase, besides the color scheme itself. I picked up most most of my items at Target and a few others at Trader Joe's, trying to keep it super simple with an easy homemade "homemade" element.
To start, I knew I wanted to make the ever famous Lucky Charm's marshmallow treats AND experiment with Cinnamon Toast Crunch marshmallow treats! You can simply google the original Rice Krispie treat recipe and replace the cereal with your choosing! Super quick + easy. My husband LOVES these treats, so I knew this would be a win at our house. To finish I picked up the following items:
- Lucky Charm Cereal (for bars)
- Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal (for bars)
- Marshmallows (for bars)
- Mint Oreos
- Sweet + Salty Kettle Corn
- York Mini's
- Andes Mints
- Sour Gummi Bears
Trader Joe's:
- Mandarins
- Kiwi
- Pears
- Fleur De Sel Caramels
Here's a look at the marshmallow treats I made, before I added them to the board! I just added some colorful sprinkles with little extra gold + green to keep it festive!
As for the actual board itself, I found this AMAZING and large marble lazy susan at Homegoods last week for only $25.00! It was on a bottom shelf and I barely missed it, so glad I didn't! I am going to get so much good use out of it! Make sure you head to your local Homegoods in case they have one for you to snag! I heard of another friend getting a similar one in another state! Since I can't link the one I have, here is another option that is affordable from Target, linked here.
